Description

Stress relief painting.
Based on the poem by William Blake.
Heh, I guess this is also my take on the Year of the Tiger. Watch out!

Corel Painter

PS I decided to open this up for critique cos even though it was just a quick doodle, I would like to know what is wrong with the tiger's leg: it is wrong and I repainted it a few times but its still wrong...too short, too fat? I can't tell...

Well as you said you wanted critique I thought about trying. (it's my first critique I've ever given so please be gentle)..<img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)"/>

Well anyway, I think it looks quite good but looks a little unreal on the upper outside. What I mean when I see a tiger walking (not running) they walk a little tipsy and don't stretch that first leg.

Probably a picture can help you (or two):

Do you get what I mean? Just lift your arm up and hold it infront of you (at the height of your nose) but don't really stretch it, now you can see there's a little ankle in there which nearly lets your elbow be at the same position as your shoulder is (just a little more forward).

If you portray that to your picture the elbow and the shoulder of the tiger should be (nearly) above each other.

Well I guess that would be it <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w…" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)"/> Hope I could help you (and that you understand my bad English)

And as for the painting itself I love it <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" title=":) (Smile)"/>
